Despite the ongoing pandemic, the Tokyo Olympics are underway to at least give us some semblance of normalcy in the world. For gamers like us, this event isn’t usually something to watch out for, but Japan certainly has its ways.

During the Tokyo Olympics opening ceremony, video game themes played loudly on the broadcast, with tunes from Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, and much more being played while the delegates from the countries walk out. It was such a great thing to see and hear, and something that only Japan can probably do, given their rich history with games in general.
