Far Cry 5 will have a free to play weekend starting August 5
Players who haven’t gotten a crack at taking down Joseph Seed and his family now have the chance to do just that as Ubisoft have announced that Far Cry 5 will have a free-to-play weekend from August 5 – 9 on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC.
Players can pre-load the game starting today and will have access to the full game that allows solo and two-player co-op. If you’re fast enough, you might even finish the game!
The Far Cry 5 Free Weekend goes live at the following times:
- PC via Ubisoft Store: August 5 at 9 PM. (UTC+8)
- PC via Epic Games Store: August 6 at 1 AM (UTC+8)
- PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4: August 5 at 3.01 PM (UTC+8)
- Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One: August 5 at 3:01 PM (UTC+8)
In case you can’t get enough of the game and want to continue past the free weekend, Far Cry 5 will be discounted by up to 85% off, making it the perfect time to purchase the game. Progress from the free weekend will carry over to the full game should you choose to purchase it.
Fans looking forward to the next installment won’t have to wait too long as Far Cry 6 is set to release on October 7 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC.
