Released just last week, Sega has announced that Demon Slayer The Hinokami Chronicles has already shipped over 1 million units worldwide.

Anchored by the strength of the Demon Slayer IP, the game would go on to please fans of the Demon Slayer Manga and Anime, allowing players to control their favorite characters and battle it out with others using trademark moves such as Tanjiro’s Dance of the Fire God and Zenitsu’s Thunderclap and Flash.

The game will follow up with 3 free post-launch content updates which will include the addition of two playable demon characters, Rui (Lower Five) and Akaza (Upper Three) of the Twelve Kizuki.

Our review of the game calls it “an audiovisual treat, especially to fans of the series who have watched the anime. The characters and all their special moves are presented in stunning fashion, basically making the game an interactive anime.”

Demon Slayer The Hinokami Chronicles is now available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC.
