PlayStation PC label established for its upcoming ports
Sony is certainly taking its efforts into releasing more of its blockbuster exclusives on the PC by establishing PlayStation PC, which is a good sign for PC gamers looking to experience these titles for the first time.
Steam users have noticed the change just a few days ago, when the publisher section of the Steam entries of the games changed to “PlayStation PC LLC”. Although this might seem like a simple name change to many, this shows Sony’s commitment to reaching more audiences from their previous stance on exclusivity.
Sony started releasing their exclusives last year, bannered by Horizon Zero Dawn and Death Stranding. A few months ago, Days Gone brought the horde over and next year, the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection and God of War will also be gracing PC gamers with their presence.
We probably won’t be seeing day and date releases anytime soon, since Sony’s exclusives are some of the biggest reasons the PlayStation console has such strong recognition, especially with upcoming titles like Spider-Man 2 and Marvel’s Wolverine. They’ve even purchased Nixxes Software, a Dutch studio with renowned PC porting capabilities.
Maybe we’ll finally see Bloodborne for the PC soon?
