Steam Deck delayed to February 2022
The Holidays are going to be a bit colder for some people as another delay has struck the gaming industry and this time around, even Valve won’t be able to dodge the global supply chain issues as the Steam Deck has been delayed and will start shipping in February 2022.
Valve announced the delay through an official blog post, saying that “we did our best to work around the global supply chain issues, but due to material shortages, components aren’t reaching our manufacturing facilities in time for us to meet our initial launch dates.”
Despite the delay, the stock situation looks to be something that won’t get better anytime soon, but folks who have got their preorders secured during the initial wave and were expecting theirs to arrive by December will get first dibs in the February release. All queues will still be followed and shipping dates will be moved accordingly.
