Curious Indie RPG Omori Coming To The Nintendo Switch In Spring 2022
While fans waited for even just a glimpse of Hollow Knight: Silksong, we were treated to something different during the final game announcement of the Nintendo Indie World Showcase as Omori will be coming to the Nintendo Switch in Spring 2022.
Omori, an enigmatic indie JRPG, tackles themes of childhood depression and anxiety represented as psychological horror. The game has a curious aesthetic and a haunting soundtrack made to appear from the point of view of a child.
Omori was initially released for the PC back in 2020, with the overview of the game reading as such:
Explore a strange world full of colorful friends and foes. Navigate through the vibrant and the mundane in order to uncover a forgotten past. When the time comes, the path you’ve chosen will determine your fate… and perhaps the fate of others as well.
This game contains depictions of depression, anxiety, and suicide, and may not be suitable for all audiences. It also contains bright flashing imagery that may cause discomfort and/or seizures for those with photosensitive epilepsy. Viewer discretion is advised.
Omori will launch in Spring 2022 for the Nintendo Switch and is currently available on PC.
