Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for Stranger Things Season 4 that introduces us to the main villain that the cast will have to face when it premieres on May 27, 2022.

There’s a lot going on here, and the trailer shows what everyone has been up to since the end of Season 3, all grown up this time around and ready to take the fight to the Upside Down, with Eleven trying to figure out how she can get her powers back. Towards the end of the trailer, we see a glimpse of the big bad meanie, seemingly hell-bent on destroying everything.

Here’s an overview of the show:

It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. The cast includes Winona Ryder (Joyce Byers), David Harbour (Jim Hopper), Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin Henderson), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas Sinclair), Noah Schnapp (Will Byers), Sadie Sink (Max Mayfield), Natalia Dyer (Nancy Wheeler), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan Byers), Joe Keery (Steve Harrington), Maya Hawke (Robin Buckley), Priah Ferguson (Erica Sinclair), Brett Gelman (Murray), Cara Buono (Karen Wheeler) and Matthew Modine (Dr. Brenner).

Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 1 will premiere on May 27, only on Netflix.
