Metroid Prime Remaster Rumored to Receive a November 2022 Release
One rumor that’s been around for quite a while now has resurfaced once again ahead of the impending Nintendo Direct Mini later today.
Jeff Grubb is back on the hot seat and has claimed a November release window for the long-rumored Metroid Prime Remaster. Speaking on Giant Bomb’s Game Mess Mornings Show, Grubb points out that he’s been told “pretty definitively” that the remaster is lined up as one of Nintendo’s big holiday games.
“Now I’ve been told that their plans are to release that game this holiday, I think almost certainly to line up with the 20th anniversary in November. So that’s happening and they need to tell us when that release date is,” Grubb says.
Additionally, Grubb goes on to say that there are remasters for Metroid Prime 2 and 3 as well, but will “likely drop later along the road” thanks to Nintendo holding on to them.
Both the Metroid Prime 2 and 3 remaster will not be getting the same overhaul as the first game, which is said to be getting the “big remaster treatment,” Grubb understands.
If any of these reports are true, then one avenue where these could be announced would be during the Nintendo Direct Mini happening later today, which is also rumored to hold reveals for Switch versions of NieR: Automata and Persona.
