Marvel vs Capcom 2 Makes a Return as an Arcade Cabinet
Capcom’s classic Marvel vs Capcom 2 is back, but not in the form of a remaster or remake, as you would normally expect.
Announced during EVO 2022 during the weekend, Arcade1Up has unveiled that the game will be getting an arcade cabinet, featuring the beloved fighting game in all its glory. The cabinet will be Wi-Fi enabled for online play and will feature a 17″ monitor to play the game on.
The cabinet will house a total of 8 games, which include:
- Marvel vs Capcom 2
- Marvel vs Capcom
- Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter
- X-Men vs Street Fighter
- Marvel Super Heroes
- X-Men: Children of the ATOM
- X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse
- Marvel Super Heroes in War of the Gems
Pre-orders will start on September 8 and will ship to the US and Canada only, so if you want one but aren’t in any of those territories, you’ll have to go through hoops to get it delivered to your doorstep.
No price was announced, but looking at some of their other arcade cabinets, the price should be around $499.99 and will not require any quarters, just in case you wanted to ask about that.
