Microsoft Commits to Bring Call of Duty to Nintendo if the Activision Blizzard Acquisition Pushes Through
Microsoft has committed to release Call of Duty to Nintendo platforms should the Activision Blizzard acquisition push through.
The statement comes from none other than Xbox Boss Phil Spencer, who says that they have entered a 10-year commitment to bring the behemoth franchise to Nintendo.
Not stopping there, Spencer also made a follow-up statement committing to continue releasing Call of Duty titles on Steam “simultaneously to Xbox” after the deal has pushed through.
Microsoft has offered the same 10-year deal to Sony, but have not reached any resolution yet.
This statement comes after the continuous back and forth between concerned parties about the deal, as it is currently being closely scrutinized by regulators.
Nintendo’s current system, the Switch, can still be quite capable of releasing Call of Duty titles seeing as how Apex Legends and Doom Eternal have performed on it. If and when Nintendo decides to release their next console with better hardware, the shooter would surely perform better there.
Would you like to see this franchise finally make its way back to a Nintendo device?
