Octopath Traveler II is now available, and fans of the first game will be relieved to know that this second installment improves on the first game and so much more!

Similar to the Wayfarer’s Edition from the first game, Square Enix has released an Octopath Traveler II Collector’s Edition, which contains a number of items that fans will surely want to get their hands on.

In the Philippines, the Octopath Traveler II Collector’s Edition retailed for PHP 9,695 ($179.99 in the US) and was sold out as early as pre-orders were announced. Some retailers posted pre-order requests a bit late, so those who weren’t able to get their hands on one during the first wave had Lady Luck smiling at them.

Upon opening up the box, you’ll get the following items:

• A standard copy of the game
• Collectible box
• OST with Extended Battle Tracks
• Art Album
• Travelers Bust Set

Considering the contents, the Octopath Traveler II Collector’s Edition is quite pricey, but on par with other Square Enix premium editions. That doesn’t discount the fact that the Traveler Bust Set serves as a nice display piece along with the box it comes with, which features the key art of the game. While we would have loved more items, such as a cloth map to show off the world of the game, the package is quite good as is.

First off, we have this lovely and surprisingly sturdy cardboard collectible box that features the key art of the game in the front, the game title at the back, and the travelers at the side.

Once opened, we’re greeted with the first two items – The base game and an Extended Battle Tracks CD.

Lifting up the first layer, we get to see the bust set, but we’ll leave that for later! Instead, we’ll show off the art album first.

The Art Album is a hardcover book that features many of the visual pieces of the game. There’s a nice prism effect on the front and back parts of the book, giving it that extra premium touch.

Lastly, we have the Travelers Bust Set, which features all 8 characters in the game. They’re pretty detailed, as you can see with the hair and parts of their wardrobe, showing off tiny details like buttons and layers.
