Ubisoft Skipping E3, Will be Holding Ubisoft Forward Live Event Instead
Ubisoft is reportedly skipping E3, according to a statement made by the company to VGC. The company will, instead, be holding a Ubisoft Forward Live event on June 12 to make up for it.
The company mentioned that while they initially announced support for the annual industry event, they have made a new decision to skip it.
“E3 has fostered unforgettable moments across the industry throughout the years. While we initially intended to have an official E3 presence, we’ve made the subsequent decision to move in a different direction, and will be holding a Ubisoft Forward Live event on June 12 in Los Angeles. We look forward to sharing more details with our players very soon.”
At the moment, there are no major publishers attending E3 that have been officially announced. The big 3 Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo have reportedly canceled plans, but Microsoft has announced that a games showcase will happen on June 11.
It would be interesting to see what steps the E3 organizers will take in light of this news, as we are now just a couple of months away before the annual event takes place in Los Angeles.
