Sony and Insomniac Games have announced that a standalone version of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered will be coming to the PS5 later this month for $49.99.

Previously only available by purchasing the ultimate edition of Miles Morales, a standalone version will finally be available to purchase separately.

Alternatively, a $10 upgrade path will also be available for players that have already purchased the base PS4 game (physical or digital), the digital deluxe edition of the PS4 game (digital only), or the game of the year edition (physical or digital).

For Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales owners who didn’t purchase the ultimate edition, fear not! You can still gain access to this release by upgrading to the Ultimate Edition through the main menu of the PS5 version of the game.

Sony has also made the clarification that if a copy of Spider-Man was claimed through PS Plus, there would be no upgrade path for that.

Fans waiting for an update on Spider-Man 2 will be disappointed for now, but both companies have asked for patience as everyone will be getting updates as soon as the teams are ready.
