Netflix Testing Game Streaming Across PC and TV

Netflix has announced that it will be testing game streaming in a limited beta test starting today.

VP of Games Mike Verdu detailed in a Netflix blog post that a limited audience in Canada and the UK will be able to start streaming games on select TVs starting today, with PC and Mac functionality through Netflix.com on supported browsers in the “next few weeks.”

Two titles will be part of this test – Oxenfree from Night School Studio and Molehew’s Mining Adventure, a gem-mining arcade game.

Playing on a TV will require subscribers to use their mobile phones as controllers, while those playing on PCs and Macs can play via mouse and keyboard.

The limited beta is said to test the streaming technology and improve the experience over time.
