PlayStation Portal Launching in November for Select Markets

Sony has announced that the PlayStation Portal will be launching in select markets on November 15, 2023 and will retail for $199.99.

As noted on the PlayStation Blog, the remote player is now available for pre-order at PlayStation Direct in the U.S., U.K., France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, and Portugal.

Southeast Asian and Philippine availability and pre-order dates have not yet been confirmed, so we’ll have to wait for Sony to make an official announcement.

The PlayStation Portal is a remote player that includes DualSense wireless controller features such as adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, and paired with an 8-inch LCD screen that is capable of 1080p at 60fps.

The device is said to connect remotely to the PS5 over Wi-Fi, play supported games that are installed on the PS5 and use the DualSense controller. PS VR2 games and games streamed through PlayStation Plus cloud streaming are not supported.

It was announced at the same time along with 2 new audio devices – the Pulse Elite and Pulse Explore.
