Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia Takes Center Stage at Thailand Game Show 2023
Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia presented a number of highly anticipated games at one of Southeast Asia’s largest video game exhibitions, Thailand Game Show 2023, which took place from October 20 to 22.
Attendees got to try out exclusive demos for Bandai Namco titles such as Tekken 8, Synduality: Echo of Ada, Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections, Sand Land, and the recently released Sword Art Online Last Recollection.
Additionally, Square Enix also showcased demos for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince, and Star Ocean The Second Story R.

Select producers and directors of Tekken 8, Synduality: Echo of Ada, and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth also took to the stage to provide additional details for these upcoming titles.
Yosuke Futami, the Producer of Synduality, kicked off Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia’s main stage session, delving into the thought process of coming up with the game’s catchphrase, “I’m with you,” as well as the game’s overall premise.
The recent Amasia Investigation Trailer, which depicts the course of events that led to the collapse of the underground haven of Amasia, was revealed in the Thai language for the first time on the main stage.
Michael Murray, the Producer of the Tekken Project and Tekken 8, graced the main stage after to provide a deep dive into the latest installment in the series that will be available in the Thai language for the first time.
Apart from introducing the Tekken Fight Lounge, which allows players to interact with other players and customize their profiles, Michael unveiled a walkthrough video of the Arcade Quest—a mode meant to give players an introduction to the Tekken 8 gameplay—captured exclusively in Thai on the main stage.
Ending off the main stage session was the Director of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Naoki Hamaguchi, where eventgoers were treated to an exclusive presentation by the director about the second game in the trilogy of the FFVII Remake Project.
Game highlights such as the concept of “free exploration”, where players are free to roam across an expansive world peppered with mini-games, unique areas, powerful enemy monsters, and an evolved battle system with the addition of new team-based abilities, were further explained.
Booth activities also included the following:
- Surprise meet-and-greet sessions with Bandai Namco Entertainment and Square Enix Producers and Directors
- Exclusive Tekken 8 show matches between Michael Murray, Thai Tekken pro players — Nopparut “Book” Hempamorn and Jeerapong “Juiestorm” Mongkolsombutsiri — and fans
- Special appearances by some of Thailand’s well-known gaming influencers — Gssspotted, BobaFam, Rubsarb Productions, and JAIRAW
