HBO’s The Last of Us Casts Kaitlyn Dever as Abby
HBO and Naughty Dog have announced that Kaitlyn Dever has officially been cast as Abby in The Last of Us TV series.
Once a fan-favorite choice to take on the lead role as Ellie, which eventually went to the equally talented Bella Ramsey, Dever is now taking on the highly controversial character of Abby, who appears in The Last of Us Part II as the daughter of the Doctor who was murdered by Joel in the operating room.
Abby is a particularly important character in the game, and her physique makes her stand out a bit more compared to other characters. How she will portray Abby will be key to the success of The Last of Us Season 2, and we can’t wait to see how it all unfolds.
Season 1 was a massive success, drawing 4.7 million viewers during its premiere (only second to House of the Dragon) and even improving to 5.7 million viewers on its second episode. A renewal for a second season was certainly in the cards.
What do you think of this casting choice for Abby in Season 2?
