Sony and Team Asobi have announced that Astro Bot is launching on September 6, 2024, for the PS5.

Last seen in Astro’s Playroom, this cute mascot finally gets its standalone adventure that spans more than 80 levels spread out across 6 different galaxies as Astro is out on a mission to search for his missing crew.

Astro can use 15 different abilities with the full utility of the Dualsense controller, taking advantage of the adaptive triggers and haptics. Joined by his friend Barkster, players can air dash and smash through different obstacles. Twin Frog Gloves allow you to punch from a long distance, and Giant Sponge allows you to suck up water to grow or wash away obstacles.

Players will also encounter over 70 different enemies and fearsome end-level bosses to test their mettle, including the featured big bad, Venomara. Many familiar faces from the PlayStation Universe will also appear in your adventure.

Astro Bot launches on the PS5 on September 6, 2024.
