SEGA and Atlus Tokyo Game Show 2024 Booth Highlights
Metaphor: ReFantazio took to the stage, showcasing a skit that narrates the events of the game leading to a thrilling performance featuring cosplayers of Hulkenberg, Louis, the Protagonist, and more.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is SEGA and Atlus’ upcoming RPG that is looking to take the Persona formula to the next level with an updated combat system that combines turn-based combat with action elements. Set to release on October 11, the developers are finally looking to break free from the high-school setting, and this could be just the one to do it.
We even get to see the upcoming Metaphor: ReFantazio 35th Anniversary Edition, which is looking quite lovely and a must-buy for Atlus fans worldwide.
SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku’s Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii has a fantastic ship-themed display surrounded by loot, along with a playable demo that would make Majima smile with glee. Players can even get a bag after trying out the demo!
This action-adventure game will be the first time where Goro Majima will take on the role of a solo protagonist as he goes on a pirate adventure aboard the Goromaru, enjoy hot-blooded battles, a treasure trove of minigames, and a colorful cast of characters.
Ahead of its October 25 release date, Sonic X Shadow Generations goes full speed ahead with a playable demo as well, awarding players a cool themed towel after they finish trying it out.
The newest Sonic game, Sonic Rumble, will also treat eventgoers with its wacky and action-packed brand of 32-player battle royale goodness.
Additionally, SEGA partner titles such as Enotria: The Last Song, Kingdom Come Deliverance II, and even Dragon Age: The Veilguard make their appearance with playable demos and swag to give away.
There’s also a Persona 5 The Phantom X section, featuring the upcoming mobile game and several cosplayers that really stole the show (and our hearts!).
