In a nutshell:

• Rusty Rabbit, a 2.5D action side scroller demo, is now available for PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.
• The game is written by Gen Urobuchi, writer of Puella Magi Madoka Magica and PSYCHO-PASS.
• You play as Stamp, a disgruntled old rabbit digger voiced by Kazuma Kiryu voice actor Takaya Kuroda.

We didn’t expect a cutesy 2.5D action platformer featuring a grizzled rabbit with Like A Dragon vibes on our bingo cards today, but here we are. NetEase Games and NITRO PLUS have launched a demo for Rusty Rabbit, available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Steam.

Rusty Rabbit Demo Details

Written by Gen Urobuchi, creator of Puella Magi Madoka Magica and PSYCHO-PASS, the demo offers players an extensive first look at the “smash and dash” gameplay featuring rabbit hero Stamp. If you feel that Stamp’s voice sounds familiar, it’s voiced by none other than Kazuma Kiryu himself, Takaya Kuroda!

The demo contains the introductory part of the full game and story while playing two full levels and testing its action elements. Players’ progress in the demo will carry over to the full game. Check out the demo now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, or PC (Steam).  

Along with the demo, social media followers can win codes for the full game by entering a giveaway on X/Twitter! Users need to follow the official Rusty Rabbit account and retweet the following post between February 20th to 27th for a chance to win at the end of this period.

Rusty Rabbit will be available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC (Steam) on April 17th, 2025.
