Metacritic has announced that SEGA is the highest-rated game publisher of 2024, beating Sony, Microsoft, and last year’s winner, Capcom.
SEGA’s Strong 2024
With an aggregate score of 82.9 across their 2024 offerings, SEGA’s fantastic lineup of titles scored very well in most cases. Persona 3 Reload and Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance performed well and were welcomed by fans, while Unicorn Overlord was a surprise success for the team. Sonic x Shadow Generations rode high along with the Sonic 3 Movie, and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and Metaphor: ReFantazio cemented the deal for the publisher.
Past Winners and Full 2024 Rankings
Capcom won the title last year with Resident Evil 4 remake, Street Fighter 6, and Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective. Sony and Microsoft won in the previous years, 2022 and 2021, respectively.
