Riot Games has announced that Valorant will add a new map, Corrode, to Season 2025 // Act IV, which launches on June 25.

Set in a climate-ravaged corner of Omega Earth, this latest addition transforms a once-proud French castle town into a Radianite salt mining complex that combines rich medieval aesthetics with brutal industrial decay.

VALORANT Corrode Map Details

Designed as a 3-lane, 2-site tactical map, Corrode emphasizes layered defenses and thoughtful engagements, countering the utility-heavy meta that has shaped the game in recent years.

“Our hope is that Corrode relieves some of VALORANT’s utility pressure while rewarding careful planning and well-executed strategy,” shares Joey Simas, Lead Map Designer.

Corrode immerses players in one of the game’s most visually dramatic locales, from tight corridors echoing with crumbling stone to wide-open salt flats blasted by Radianite supercell storms.

According to Daniel McGowan, Senior Manager for Art Direction, the environment is shaped by evaporated seas and crystallized salt deposits, with players spotting moving trucks, ATLAS carriers, and violent storms on the horizon.

To encourage players to try out the map, Riot is offering a 50% RR reduction on losses during the first two weeks of competitive play on Corrode, while maintaining full RR gains for victories. A Swiftplay-exclusive queue will also run from June 25–30 to further support onboarding.

New Phaseguard Collection and Battlepass Details

This launch spotlights the high-tech Phaseguard Collection skin line, which includes designs for the Vandal, Outlaw, Ghost, Bulldog, and Splitter melee. The Phaseguard Collection launches on June 26.

Meanwhile, the VALORANT Season 2025 // Act IV Battlepass contains items such as the 5 Years: Kill All Radiants Card, Bonsai Gun Buddy, and the return of the ATLAS // CMD Vandal.
