HoYoverse has announced that Honkai Star Rail Version 3.5 is coming on August 13, 2025.

Entitled “Before Their Deaths,” the update will mark the beginning of the second half of the Amphoreus saga and usher in the long-awaited arrival of Hysilens and Cerydra as playable characters.

Honkai Star Rail Version 3.5 New Characters

Hysilens

The first new addition is Hysilens, commander of the holy city’s knights and a 5-star Physical-Type character following the Path of Nihility who thrives when paired with allies who specialize in Damage over Time (DoT) effects.

Upon activating her Ultimate, Hysilens summons a Zone that enhances DoT capabilities. Each instance of DoT inflicted triggers an additional DoT from her, while all enemies within the Zone suffer reduced ATK and DEF.

Her Basic ATK, Skill, and Ultimate also carry a chance to inflict a random DoT type. Furthermore, her Skill amplifies incoming damage, significantly boosting overall team output.

Cerydra

Imperator Cerydra is a 5-star Wind-Type character who walks the Path of Harmony.

In battle, her Skill bestows “Military Merit,” an evolving buff that boosts an ally’s ATK and applies additional damage. As the battle progresses, Military Merit upgrades, enhancing the ally’s CRIT DMG and All-Type RES PEN when using Skills, and even enabling Skill replication to amplify team-wide output.

Her Ultimate affects all enemies and generates Charge, ensuring continued tactical support throughout the fight.

The limited 5-star characters Stellaron Hunter Kafka and Silver Wolf will have their return in the first and second halves of the Honkai Star Rail Version 3.5 warp event.

Additionally, Honkai Star Rail 3.5 will also add the following features:

• New Map Styxia – City of Infinite Revelry: Trailblazers explore a fresh location filled with vibrant visuals and lore.
• Boss Fight Lygus: A shape-shifting enemy whose dual forms hint at deeper secrets and hidden motives.
• Event Chrysos Maze Grand Restaurant: Manage a fairy-filled eatery in Aedes Elysiae, renovate the venue, and earn praise.
• Event Old Brews & New Friends: Return to Dreamjolt Hostelry as a guest drinksmith and reconnect with familiar faces.
• Voice Toggle Feature: Switch character voice lines between in-game dub and original licensed voice actors for select collaboration characters.
