Sandfall Interactive has announced that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, the breakout RPG and heavy Game of the Year favorite, has officially crossed five million copies sold worldwide.
To celebrate the milestone, the studio has announced a free major update packed with new content, customization options, and expanded localization support.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Free Update Details
New Dungeon, Bosses, and Costumes Incoming
The upcoming update, currently in development for all platforms, will introduce a brand-new playable environment, featuring fresh enemy encounters and late-game boss battles designed to challenge seasoned players. Each member of the Expedition will also receive new costumes, giving fans more ways to personalize their party’s look.
Creative Director Guillaume Broche shared that the update is a “thank you” to fans for their continued support, though no release date has been confirmed. A teaser image released by Sandfall hints at deeper lore involving characters Verso and Esquie, possibly exploring their shared past through a mysterious child’s playroom setting.
Expanded Language Support
In addition to gameplay content, the update will expand Clair Obscur’s localization to include Czech, Ukrainian, Latin American Spanish, Turkish, Vietnamese, Thai, and Indonesian, bringing the total number of supported languages to 19.




Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is now available for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.
