Larian Studios has officially announced its next major project: Divinity. No release date or platforms were given.
The acclaimed developers behind Baldur’s Gate 3 have described the game as the studio’s most ambitious RPG yet, set in the iconic world of Rivellon.
Divinity – Story and Setting
The announcement teased a world where “the gods are silent, Rivellon bleeds, and new powers stir.” Players will embark on a journey through Rivellon, facing fresh challenges and uncovering mysteries that expand on the lore established in Original Sin and Original Sin 2.
While newcomers can dive into this game without prior experience, longtime fans will find deeper continuity and connections to the studio’s earlier works.
Swen Vincke, founder and game director of Larian Studios, shared, “Despite our long history with the series, this is our first game entitled Divinity. We’re ready to bring everything we’ve done previously into one place. This marks the beginning of something with more breadth, depth, and intimacy than anything we’ve created before.”
