Anno 117: Pax Romana Celebrates 1.17 Million Players Ahead of First DLC

Ubisoft has announced that Anno 117: Pax Romana has surpassed 1.17 million players since its release on November 13, 2025, making it the fastest-selling entry in the long-running city-building franchise. The milestone comes just days before the launch of its first DLC, Prophecies of Ash, on April 30, 2026.

Executive Producer Stéphane Jankowski expressed gratitude to fans, noting the team’s commitment to delivering ambitious Year 1 content to keep players engaged as they cultivate their Roman empire.

Prophecies of Ash DLC

The upcoming DLC expands the Latium region with the largest island in Anno’s history. Players will face a looming volcano with eruption phases, devote cities to Vulcan for mining boosts, and establish new production chains to trade obsidian for powerful specialists.

Anno 117: Pax Romana Year One Pass Roadmap

Ubisoft outlined the following content for Year One:

  • Prophecies of Ash (April 30, 2026) – New lands, volcanic disasters, Vulcan deity worship, obsidian trade.
  • The Hippodrome (August 2026) – Build the grandest monument in Anno history, inspired by Circus Maximus, complete with chariot races and city buffs.
  • Dawn of the Delta (November 2026) – A new province blending Roman ambition with Egyptian tradition, featuring deserts, fertile deltas, new population tiers, deities, and military units.

Free Weekend and Referral Program

To celebrate, Ubisoft is hosting a free weekend from April 23 to 27, giving newcomers a chance to experience the game. Additionally, a friend referral program runs until May 17 and rewards players with Fame Points for each referral.
