This update is the finale of Season 2, focusing on the pursuit of the mysterious target Ramiel. Players will encounter new allies and twists as factions clash in the Outer Ring.

Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.8 New Characters

Two new S‑Rank agents debut in this version: Promeia, the Ice Anomaly executioner of Krampus, who excels at triggering Abloom damage and defensive dodges, and Starlight‑Billy, an upgraded form of Billy wielding a combat motorcycle and devastating Physical burst attacks. Both agents bring fresh combat mechanics, while reruns of Lucia (Ether Support) and Orphie & Magus (Fire Attack) return for players who missed them.

Gameplay Updates and Events

Version 2.8 introduces a Wind Attribute Anomaly and the new Vortex mechanic, adding strategic depth to combat by triggering AoE elemental damage when combined with other anomalies. Events include Marcel Bootopia, where players rescue Bangboos on a resort island, unlocking the A‑Rank Bangboo Booltergeist, and the Ultimate Verdict Trial, which lets players fight alongside Promeia.

Cosmetic additions include Hoshimi Miyabi’s Dignified Blossom outfit, while system optimizations bring a new Polychrome Guide and improved resource management.
