- Lord of the Rings RPG confirmed by Warhorse Studios.
- Development also underway for a new Kingdom Come game.
- Project revealed under Embracer Group’s new Fellowship Entertainment division.
The creators of Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Warhorse Studios, have officially announced that they are developing a brand‑new open‑world RPG set in Middle‑earth, alongside a new entry in the Kingdom Come series.
From Rumor to Official Announcement
Warhorse Studios revealed the project via their official X account, stating: “You might have heard the rumours, it’s time to reveal what we are working on.”
Indeed, it was rumored a couple of months ago on a Polish podcast, but now it has been made official.
Middle‑earth Meets Warhorse Studios
The upcoming RPG will explore J.R.R. Tolkien’s legendary Middle‑earth, promising an expansive open‑world experience. This marks Warhorse’s first foray into the iconic fantasy universe, following their success with the historically grounded Kingdom Come: Deliverance series.
The announcement coincides with Embracer Group’s formation of Fellowship Entertainment, a new company dedicated to developing and licensing its biggest IPs, including Tomb Raider, Metro, Dead Island, and The Lord of the Rings.
While details remain scarce, Warhorse Studios assured fans: “We’re excited to tell you more when the time is right.” With Kingdom Come: Deliverance II receiving critical acclaim in 2025, expectations are high for how the studio will adapt Tolkien’s world into their signature RPG style.
