During Summer Game Fest 2026, Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia showcased new trailers for The Blood of Dawnwalker, highlighting its villains and teasing the broader future of the Dawnwalker saga.
The gameplay trailer confirmed that The Blood of Dawnwalker will follow Coen’s origin story and his battle against Brencis, the vampire lord ruling Vale Sangora in the Carpathian Mountains. Rebel Wolves emphasized that the game is a self‑contained narrative, free of cliffhangers, with choices shaping the definitive conclusion.
The Blood of Dawnwalker – A Glimpse Into the Future
Alongside the gameplay trailer, a CGI teaser revealed that the story will eventually span across centuries, continents, and cultures, hinting at a modern‑day setting far beyond the 14th‑century origins. The CGI teaser surprised fans by showing Coen in a modern 21st‑century setting, signaling that future installments will move beyond medieval Europe.
“I have a feeling that today’s presentation may have surprised many of you who did not expect Coen’s saga to move into modern times. However, I would like to emphasize that each installment in the series will be a standalone game with its own story, without narrative cliffhangers or unresolved plot threads,” said Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, Game Director and Co‑Founder of Rebel Wolves.
Standalone Stories Across Eras
Narrative Director Jakub Szamałek elaborated on the saga’s scope:
“His journey begins in a dark 14th‑century fantasy world… The next installments of his saga will bring new stories and new characters, but they will take place in different eras, locations, and cultures. Writing the narrative for projects of this scale is an incredibly satisfying undertaking.”
While Coen’s conflict with Brencis will conclude in The Blood of Dawnwalker, attentive players will notice breadcrumbs pointing to the overarching saga.
