During a Silent Hill: Townfall media preview hosted by Konami, Series producer Motoi Okamoto revealed that he has big plans for the series moving forward, saying that he has a personal goal of one game a year.

Silent Hill Producer: “One Game a Year”
Okamoto starts by saying they are fortunate to be working with so many teams on Silent Hill. With the likes of Silent Hill 2 Remake (Bloober Team), Silent Hill: The Short Message (HexaDrive), and Silent Hill f (NeoBards), and now Silent Hill: Townfall with Screen Burn, there’s no lack of games for fans of the franchise who have been waiting a long time for the series to make its triumphant return.
“We are in the fortunate position where we have a lot of teams that will have their offers and pitches who are willing to create a Silent Hill project.”

Interest is one thing, and Konami is there to evaluate these and see which ones they feel confident in.
“So what we do is we take a look at all of those teams, and if we see any teams who we feel would be capable of creating a type of Silent Hill game, then as long as we feel that we are confident in their capabilities of delivering a good Silent Hill game, we are more than willing to cooperate with as many developers as we see fit.”
Okamoto then recognized that there could be player fatigue if they suddenly flooded the market with titles, and stated that he has a personal goal with the cadence of future titles.
“But, of course, we don’t want to fatigue the player base by having too many games out in such a short span. So right now we are aiming to… well, my personal goal is to aim for having one game a year.”

Additionally, it was also revealed that Silent Hill: Townfall would have 5 endings and will run for about 10-14 hours for the first playthrough.
Silent Hill: Townfall launches on September 24, 2026, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
