Series producer Motoi Okamoto and Screen Burn Writer and Director Jon McKellan, courtesy of a media preview hosted by Konami, revealed just how long the first playthrough of Silent Hill: Townfall would take, and it’s surprisingly similar to other Silent Hill titles.
How Long to Beat Silent Hill: Townfall?
McKellan explained that an exact number would be hard to pin down, especially since Silent Hill: Townfall has stealth elements baked into its gameplay, and that some players would definitely hide and play it safe rather than taking enemies head-on.
As with most games, it would really depend on the playstyle, but McKellan pinned down a rough estimate of around 10-14 hours for the first playthrough.
“I think it’s quite hard to put a number on how long the game is because of the nature of stealth and action, where some players may spend a lot of time hiding versus someone who plays aggressively.”
“We consider it a full-length game, and we reckon the 1st playthrough is anywhere between 10 and 14 hours, depending on how you play.”
Of course, Silent Hill is also a franchise with replay value, as players scramble to unlock more endings. McKellan noted that succeeding playthroughs are expected to go faster.
“Subsequent playthroughs will be a lot faster because you’ll unlock some things that might help you achieve those endings a bit quicker.”
