505 Games set to publish Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, the spiritual successor to Suikoden and the 3rd most successful kickstarter video game campaign, will be published by 505 Games, known for games such as Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, Death Stranding (PC), and Control.
Featuring a fantastical setting, carefully crafted storyline and a massive cast of characters, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is a celebration of the JRPG genre readily associated with studio lead Yoshitaka Murayama (Suikoden I & II) and director Osamu Komuta.
“We dreamed of making a game for JRPG fans that celebrates everything we love about the genre and lets us highlight everything we’ve learned as game developers over the years,” Studio Lead at Rabbit & Bear Studios Yoshitaka Murayama said. “505 Games is the perfect partner for us and we look forward to working with them to bring Eiyuden Chronicle, and potentially future projects, to fans around the world.”
“Eiyuden Chronicles is a throwback to the classic RPG games that millions love and a modern tale of discovery and adventure with hundreds of fully realized characters,” said Yoshitaka Murayama, Studio Lead at Rabbit & Bear Studios. “505 Games’ history with games such as Bloodstained and Death Stranding show they have a strong track record and the experience necessary to help make Eiyuden Chronicles a genuine JRPG hit.”
While the game may still take a while to be fully realized, fans of the upcoming RPG can look forward to the game hitting a worldwide release when it is ready.
