Monster Hunter Rise for PS and Xbox Will be Digital-only
Coming from the initial announcement that Monster Hunter Rise will be coming to PlayStation and Xbox in January 2023, it is now confirmed that this release will be digital-only, and no physical release is planned.
The confirmation comes from a Gematsu tweet, saying that Capcom has indeed confirmed this with them, which is going to be disappointing for Hunters that have been looking forward to this release along with collecting a physical copy.
As mentioned before, the Xbox version will support smart delivery and Xbox play anywhere, while the PlayStation version will allow for both PS4 and PS5 versions to be downloaded. Both do not support cross-play or cross-saves with other platforms.
Some of the features of this new release will include:
- 4K 60 FPS or 1080p 120 FPS support
- Adaptive trigger support (PS5)
- 3D Audio
- Prior title updates already included in this version
Monster Hunter Rise will be available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC via Windows on January 20, 2023. The game will also be available on Game Pass.
