Overwatch 2 and Cowboy Bebop Collaboration Event Launches March 12
Blizzard Entertainment has announced the next major collaboration with Overwatch 2, and this time, it is with the popular space western anime series Cowboy Bebop.
Starting on March 12, players will be able to unlock Cowboy Bebop-inspired skins, emotes, highlight intros, and more for some of the game’s most recognizable characters. Music from Cowboy Bebop will also be featured as part of this event.
Unlockable Legendary skins include the Spike Spiegel Cassidy, Faye Valentine Ashe, Jet Black Mauga, Ed Sombra, and Ein Wreckingball skin, the latter of which can be unlocked by all players for free.
The skins will be revealed to players on the eve of the event going live in-game, on March 11.
“We’re honored to be collaborating with one of the most respected anime series of all time in Cowboy Bebop,” Overwatch 2 Associate Director Aimee Dennett said. “This collaboration is a wonderful way to pay homage to the legendary stories, art, animation, and music of the Cowboy Bebop series. We hope its fans and our players have as much fun with what we’re bringing to Overwatch 2 as we did in creating it.”
