Nintendo Raises Prices for Switch 2, Switch models, and Nintendo Switch Online

Nintendo has announced a global price increase for the Switch 2 and several Nintendo Switch models, alongside a regional price adjustment for Nintendo Switch Online subscription tiers.
The company cited shifting market conditions and a global business outlook as reasons for the changes.

These Japan-specific MSRP revisions apply to the listed models; Nintendo noted the multi-language Switch 2 sold via the My Nintendo Store will not change price.

Nintendo Switch Online — Subscription price changes (Japan)
Nintendo will also raise subscription fees for Nintendo Switch Online in Japan, including the Expansion Pack tier.
The revised Japanese pricing is:
- Individual Membership: 1 month ¥306 → ¥400; 3 months ¥815 → ¥1,000; 12 months ¥2,400 → ¥3,000.
- Family Membership (12 months): ¥4,500 → ¥5,800.
- Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack: Individual 12 months ¥4,900 → ¥5,900; Family 12 months ¥8,900 → ¥9,900.
These subscription changes in Japan take effect July 1, 2026. Nintendo described the update as part of aligning pricing appropriately across regions.
