When Granblue Fantasy: Relink first launched, it was a great attempt at bringing Cygames’ beloved mobile RPG into full‑scale console and PC territory. Built as an action RPG spin‑off of the long‑running Granblue Fantasy universe, Relink delivered fast‑paced combat, cooperative multiplayer, and a richly detailed world that captured the essence of the original while standing tall as its own experience. The reception was hugely positive, with fans and critics alike praising its fluid battle system, gorgeous visuals, and faithful adaptation of the franchise’s lore.
And now, Cygames is raising the stakes with Endless Ragnarok, a full‑scale expansion that builds on the foundation of Relink. It introduces sweeping new systems, a vast roster of summons, and a ton of activities to add to the already content-heavy base game. The result is a highly fun and engaging return and an expansion that is an absolute must-play for Granblue fans everywhere.
The Old and the New
For lapsed fans, stepping back into Granblue Fantasy: Relink years after its original release can feel daunting, while newcomers may see a long road ahead with certain quests acting as barriers to entry. These concerns are valid because the main campaign essentially functions as a lengthy tutorial leading into the endgame loop. To reach the Endless Ragnarok expansion, players must first clear a ton of requirements, including Maniac Key Quests and Proud quests.
Veteran players who have already invested the hours are rewarded with immediate access to Chaos Level quests, unlocking powerful rewards. At this stage, enemy levels climb into the hundreds, with HP values reaching into the millions, making every battle a true test of endurance and strategy.
The stakes are fitting, as the narrative of Granblue Fantasy: Relink Endless Ragnarok pivots toward conflict with the Ragnalia, a demonic race bent on conquest. The Ragnalia are far more vicious than anything skyfarers have faced before, demanding only the highest caliber adventurers, which is why players will need to prove their worth in battle against Seofon and Tweyen before joining forces to confront this existential threat. While the premise is interesting, the story is quite forgettable and easily a notch lower than the base title.
Fortunately, Granblue Fantasy: Relink Endless Ragnarok introduces new systems to help players rise to the challenge.

The Conflux Dungeons stand out as one of the most impactful additions to Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok, offering players a new path to power and progression. Accessible as early as Chapter Six for newcomers, these solo challenges are located in Seedhollow and unfold across a series of interconnected rooms, each culminating in a boss encounter.

After clearing a room, players can choose their next path: the Way of Strife, which emphasizes combat; the Way of Dexterity, which introduces obstacle courses and item collection; or Elite Paths, which pit adventurers against tougher enemies.
Each victory grants an Aura, a temporary buff that persists throughout the dungeon run and adds a roguelite flavor to the experience. As difficulty escalates, the Resonance system comes into play, requiring points to unlock nodes that provide powerful enhancements such as increased attack, boosted HP, or higher Conflux point gains. Runs begin modestly with four rooms but can expand into sprawling gauntlets of a dozen or more chambers, complete with multiple bosses.

By blending branching paths, stacking buffs, and escalating challenges, Conflux Dungeons serve as both a great way to level up and gather much-needed resources. They allow players to strengthen weapons, upgrade party members, and prepare for the grueling Chaos Level quests, making them an essential stepping stone for anyone aiming to stand against the Ragnalia threat.

Rivals Yesterday, Crewmates Today
Several new characters are ready to join your party in Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok. Among them is Beatrix, a proud primal beast hunter and water‑based swordswoman who excels as an attacker. Her combat style revolves around chaining combos through her special mode, Devour Causality, and manipulating the Delta Clock, which alters her abilities depending on its state.
Offensively, Beatrix can unleash devastating damage when timed with the appropriate Delta Clock mode, though she also risks taking damage herself. Defensively, she can shift the Delta Clock to grant Regen or extra protection, while her debuffs slow enemies and create openings for her team.
Beatrix is available early for newcomers once Crewmember Cards are unlocked, giving players a strong edge from the start. Her Fate Episodes further enhance her capabilities, making her a formidable ally and a joy to control.

Another familiar face is Maglielle, once a rival during the main campaign, now playable as a full-fledged party member. Joining them are Fraux, Fediel, Gallanza, and Eustace, rounding up the new characters to 6, each offering fresh tactical options for party composition.

Apart from this, Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok introduces Master Traits, a system that builds on pre‑expansion progress. Master Traits streamline specialization, allowing players to refine offensive, defensive, and weapon skills into advanced forms that suit their preferred playstyle.
Take Gran, for example, as he can now refine his combat approach by selecting from three distinct styles, each offering unique perks: Insight: Artfully Adept, Essence: Combat Healer, and Crux: The Substitute. Insight: Artfully Adept grants a Style Rank Perk that boosts ATK by 10–20% and raises combo finisher damage cap by 5–20%, scaling with adept arts level. Meanwhile, Essence: Combat Healer enhances survivability by granting ATK +10% and DMG Cap +20% whenever Gran casts a healing skill.
Each style can be leveled up to unlock additional traits that players can freely equip and experiment with. For instance, leveling Insight: Artfully Adept opens traits such as reduced skill cooldowns (–2%) and a significant Max HP boost (+15,000). The higher the style level, the more master traits can be equipped, allowing for deeper customization.
This is available for ALL characters, and you can imagine that a ton of resources will be needed again to upgrade everything to the max level. This is where the eventual grind comes in, but Relink players should be well aware of this. Thankfully, the Master Traits system promotes new party compositions and specializations, making it a worthwhile addition that changes up gameplay.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok also elevates strategy with the addition of Summons. These powerful allies can turn the tide of battle, whether through elemental attacks that deal massive damage or support abilities that heal and revive teammates.
Once summoned, these characters are invincible for a limited time, providing a crucial counter to enemy Bloodlust or overwhelming boss skills. Summons range from townspeople and primal beasts to familiar faces from past adventures, ensuring variety and dramatic impact in every encounter.

PC and Switch 2 Performance
At the time of review, we tested Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok on both PC and Nintendo Switch 2.
Here’s what we used to play Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok:
- Ryzen 5 5600x
- 16 GB DDR4 3600 RAM
- NVIDIA 4070 Super
- 1TB NVMe SSD
- ROG Strix OLED XG32UCWG
On PC, Granblue Fantasy Relink – Endless Ragnarok plays extremely well, even with all of the effects and things going on during big battles. While that’s a known factor, the more interesting take here is how it plays on the Switch 2, which basically gets the expansion already as part of the purchase.
Performance of Granblue Fantasy Relink – Endless Ragnarok on the Switch 2 is impressive, almost matching the stability of a base PS5. Animations run smoothly with no noticeable lag, but unlike the PS5, however, the Switch 2 offers portability. That said, the requirement for a constant internet connection limits how far you can take the adventure. Online play also necessitates a Nintendo Switch Online account, which may be inconvenient for players hoping to enjoy the game entirely on the go.

That said, the Switch 2 version of Granblue Fantasy Relink – Endless Ragnarok inherits the same strengths and weaknesses as its PS5 counterpart. Recruited characters don’t always mesh with the story‑driven party, and the grind toward Chaos Level quests remains a demanding hurdle. Fortunately, the Assist Mode helps alleviate the repetition, allowing the AI to handle combo execution much like auto‑battle systems in traditional RPGs.
For those who prefer a purely cinematic experience, Full Assist Mode lets the CPU take over entirely, ensuring anime fans and casual players can enjoy the story without being gated by difficulty.

As with games of this type, Granblue Fantasy Relink – Endless Ragnarok gives players as much as it takes, and how much value you get out of it will depend on your playstyle. In the estimates, the expansion has about 20-30 hours of new content, excluding backtracking and replaying missions. The addition of 6 new characters alone already adds several hours to the experience, and maxing them fully will surely add a ton more. Take the master traits for all characters, collecting the summons, and just finishing the main questline, and you’ve got so much to chew on.
Verdict: 8.5/10 Buy it!
Granblue Fantasy Relink – Endless Ragnarok is a massive and fantastic expansion, adding more value and content to an already massive world introduced by its predecessor. With additional story content and new Chaos Levels, returning players are given a treat to continue their skyfaring adventures to a whole new level, despite some boss recycling.
Newcomers need not feel daunted by the gamut of content that’s available in Granblue Fantasy Relink – Endless Ragnarok, as they’ve been given tools by the developers to assist them in their journey from the Assist Mode to Conflux Dungeons, allowing them to explore and discover the world of Granblue Fantasy Relink on their own time and finally tackle the expansion when they’re ready. Hell, even non-players can experience Granblue Fantasy Relink – Endless Ragnarok as a purely cinematic journey with Full Assist Mode.
