Warner Bros. Confirms Sequel
In its latest earnings report, Warner Bros. revealed that a second installment of Hogwarts Legacy, or most likely Hogwarts Legacy 2, is officially in development. While no gameplay or release details were shared, the company emphasized that the sequel will “meaningfully contribute” to future revenue, cementing its importance in WB’s gaming pipeline.
“We expect Games to more meaningfully contribute to segment profitability going forward as
our pipeline expands, including the second installment of Hogwarts Legacy.”
Hogwarts Legacy’s Record Success
The original Hogwarts Legacy, released in 2023, became one of the best‑selling games of all time, moving over 40 million copies. It was also the first non‑Call of Duty or Rockstar title since 2009 to top annual sales charts.
Warner Bros. is doubling down on the Harry Potter brand, with HBO’s upcoming TV adaptation set to debut this Christmas. The show has already secured a second season, and its success is expected to fuel even more excitement for the gaming sequel.
