  • Reimagined Weapons battles + Summon Typhon showcased
  • Launches Spring 2027 on PS5, Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC

Square Enix revealed a brand‑new trailer for Final Fantasy VII Revelation, the third and final entry in the critically acclaimed Remake series, during gamescom Opening Night Live 2026.

The game is set to release in Spring 2027 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Xbox on PC.

Weapons Return in Reimagined Glory

The Final Fantasy VII Revelation trailer showcased the return of the colossal Weapons, guardians that wreak havoc across land, sea, and sky. Cloud and his allies must face these devastating foes while racing to stop Sephiroth and the descent of Meteor. Some Weapons will appear as ultra‑challenging endgame battles, paying homage to their original forms.

New Summons, FITS System, and Exploration

Players got a first look at the new Summon Typhon, alongside expanded open‑world traversal with parachutes, grappling hooks, and Chocobo mounts. Cloud and Tifa also debuted new FITS outfits — Warrior and Black Mage — introducing specialized roles inspired by classic Final Fantasy jobs.

The Highwind and the Final Battle

In Final Fantasy VII Revelation, the entire planet is freely explorable via the Highwind airship, allowing seamless transitions from air to land. With Meteor descending and the Weapons unleashed, players must decide where to go, who to help, and how to shape the fate of the world. The hybrid battle system returns, now perfected with new playable characters and expanded abilities.
