In a nutshell
- New single‑player, turn‑based tactical game set in the Rainbow Six universe
- Players step into the role of Six, commander of Team Rainbow
- Available on Ubisoft+, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, GeForce Now, and Blacknut
Ubisoft revealed Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Tactics during Opening Night Live 2026, introducing a fresh single‑player, turn‑based tactical experience set in the Rainbow Six universe. For the first time in the franchise, players step into the role of Six, commander of Team Rainbow, leading squads of up to four operators through high‑stakes missions that demand careful planning and precise execution.
Strategic Depth Meets Tactical Execution
Developed by Ubisoft Paris, Rainbow Six Tactics unfolds alongside the ongoing Rainbow Six Siege timeline, as a new global threat forces Team Rainbow to operate on a broader scale. From the HQ, players assess intel, assign operators, upgrade their base, and prepare for missions. Once deployed, turn‑based encounters challenge them to combine operator abilities, gadgets, and destructible environments to outmaneuver enemy forces.
At the heart of the gameplay loop is the balance between global command and tactical execution: selecting missions, preparing operators, resolving encounters, then returning to HQ to train, review intel, and strengthen Rainbow’s capabilities.
Operators, Missions, and Breach System
Drawing from a roster of 15 operators from Rainbow Six Siege, players build squads tailored to their preferred approach. Each operator offers unique abilities, gadgets, and skill trees, encouraging experimentation and strategic team composition.
The campaign spans dozens of missions worldwide, including hostage rescues, bomb disposals, and target eliminations. Players can break walls, remove cover, and create alternate entry points as situations evolve. The new Breach feature delivers explosive tactical moments, allowing all operators to act simultaneously in a synchronized assault.
Rainbow Six Tactics Availability
Rainbow Six Tactics is now available to wishlist on PC via Ubisoft Connect, Steam, and Epic Games Store, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game will also be available on Ubisoft+, GeForce Now, and Blacknut at launch.
