SEGA and ATLUS have released a fresh batch of details for Persona 4 Revival, shining a spotlight on some of the franchise’s most recognizable faces and the mysterious Velvet Room.

Alongside a closer look at Igor, Margaret, and Marie, the latest update also details several Velvet Room systems that will help players strengthen their Personas throughout their journey in Inaba.

Persona 4 Revival – Meet the Velvet Room’s Familiar Faces

Returning once again is Igor (voiced by Bin Shimada), the master of the Velvet Room, a mysterious space that exists between dream and reality, mind and matter. As in previous Persona titles, Igor serves as a guide to those who enter into a contract and assists them toward their destiny.

Joining him is Margaret (voiced by Sayaka Oohara), Igor’s assistant and caretaker of the Persona Compendium. Described as highly intellectual and occasionally mischievous, Margaret supports both Igor and the protagonist throughout their journey.

Meanwhile, Marie (voiced by Kana Hanazawa) returns as a mysterious girl encountered in Inaba. Despite her initially distant demeanor, she is portrayed as curious and outgoing, while harboring a secret hobby she’d rather keep hidden.

The Velvet Room Returns With Familiar Mechanics

The Velvet Room remains a critical location for character progression in Persona 4 Revival. Here, players can fuse Personas to create stronger allies, purchase Skill Cards, and access other growth-related features.

One of the featured mechanics is Persona Fusion, which allows players to combine multiple Personas into a new one. Newly created Personas can inherit skills from their components, though fusion accidents may occasionally occur, resulting in unexpected outcomes.

Players can also speak to Marie to acquire Skill Cards, which teach Personas specific abilities. Once a Skill Card is collected, it becomes permanently available for repurchase, making it easier to distribute powerful skills across multiple Personas.

Another returning feature is the Fusion Forecast, which grants different bonuses depending on the day of the week and specific fusion conditions. These bonuses can include stat increases and access to powerful new skills.
