Coming from the release of Alan Wake Remastered, it was rumored that Alan Wake 2 would make an appearance at the Game Awards, and as a World Premiere, we were not disappointed because we finally get to see the next part in the series more than 10 years after it was first released.

Coming in as a survival horror game, Remedy is trying out something new here and the premiere trailer is looking quite intriguing.

As seen in the PlayStation Blog, Sam Lake says that “This is a monumental moment for us at Remedy. For me personally. Leading up to the announcement, our internal codename for the sequel has been Project Big Fish. David Lynch has said: ‘Ideas are like fish. If you want to catch little fish, you can stay in the shallow water. But if you want to catch the big fish, you’ve got to go deeper.’ Alan Wake 2 is our big fish. We are diving deeper than ever, into an ocean of darkness.”

The game is coming in 2023 to the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.
