Coming from its initial announcement back in 2020, we finally get a first look at the upcoming Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime from Netflix that’s set to premiere in September, and it is looking very promising.

Night City is bursting with color and is immediately reminiscent of the game in some ways. The action scenes are looking intense and we can expect top-notch animation quality coming from Studio Trigger.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners tells a standalone, 10-episode story about a street kid trying to survive in a technology and body modification-obsessed city of the future. Having everything to lose, he chooses to stay alive by becoming an edgerunner—a mercenary outlaw also known as a cyberpunk.
