Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition announced for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, features Vergil as playable character
The ultra stylish award-winning game from Capcom is taking its combos and juggles to the next-gen consoles as Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition has been announced, bringing with it enhanced features along with the long awaited “Vergil Mode”, which features Dante’s Twin brother as a playable character.
The Special Edition aims to take advantage of the high-powered hardware from the PS5 and Xbox Series X, featuring Raytracing, fast loading times, 4K resolutions, and even frame rates up to as high as 120fps.
Raytracing can be toggled on and off in the settings, which will allow for 4k 30fps resolution prioritized gameplay, or 1080p 60fps when frame rates are prioritized.
Included in the Special Edition is “Frenzy Mode”, turning up the game speed by 20% and “Legendary Dark Knight Mode” which lets players face waves upon waves of enemies. Of course, the additional content from the initial release like the pre-order exclusive EX Costumes and the Bloody Palace will be part of this package.
Devil May Cry Special Edition will be available as a day one purchase when the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X launch.
