EA Sports has officially unveiled FIFA 23, which is chock-full of new features, and will be coming to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC on September 30.

One of the biggest additions to this latest release will be cross-play support between PS5, Xbox Series, PC, and Stadia players, allowing a bigger competition base for more intense shootouts. PS4 and Xbox One players won’t completely miss out, but will of course be limited to the same console generation.

In an effort to bring a more realistic experience to the pitch, EA Sports have introduced HyperMotion2, a technology and physics system that will make movement feel more responsive, authentic, and fluid.

Because 2023 is a World Cup year, FIFA 23 will not only introduce women’s club teams like the Barclays Women’s Super League and Division 1 Arkema, but will also include other leagues like UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, Premier League, Bundesliga, and much more, all under one roof. That’s a whopping 19,000+ players across 700+ teams in over 100 stadiums and over 30 leagues, making it a truly inclusive effort.

Kylian Mbappe and Sam Kerr have also been named cover athletes for the upcoming release, which is the first time that a female player will be featured on the global cover.

FIFA 23 is scheduled to release on September 30, 2022 for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC.
