Yep, you read that right. A Ghost of Tsushima movie is in the works from Chad Stahelski, John Wick’s Director, according to a report from Deadline.
This movie will be brought to life by Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions, who was also in charge of the Uncharted movie from Tom Holland and The Last of Us TV Series on HBO. Sucker Punch, developers of Ghost of Tsushima, will work as executive producers to the film, so it might be safe to expect good things about the film.
“We’re excited to be partnering with Chad and 87Eleven Entertainment, to bring their vision of Jin’s story to the big screen. We love working with creative partners like Chad, who have a passion for our games, ensuring we can create rich adaptations that will excite our fans and new audiences.” shared Head of PlayStation Productions Asad Qizilbash.
No word on the casting has been made as of now, so this is very early on in its life cycle, and we won’t expect to hear news again from this soon, but it is enough to put fans in a good mood after hearing about Jin Sakai making his way to the big screen.
