Logitech and Tencent Partner to Bring a Cloud Gaming Handheld Later This Year
Logitech and Tencent Games have announced a partnership that will see both companies collaborate to bring a cloud gaming handheld device into the market later this year.
Both companies will leverage their expertise – Logitech with Hardware and Tencent Games with software – to create a handheld that will support a variety of cloud gaming services. Both have also been working closely with Xbox Cloud Gaming and NVIDIA GeForce NOW to be able to bring AAA games while away from a PC or console.
No further details, like price or specs, have been announced as of writing. Considering that the device is slated to release later this year, we can expect a few more updates to come in the next few weeks and months.
“As one of the leading global platforms for game development, publishing and operations, Tencent Games has been at the forefront of innovation and it’s why we partnered with them,” said Ujesh Desai, general manager of Logitech G. “As someone that grew up playing video games, the idea of being able to stream and play AAA games almost anywhere is super exciting, and we can’t wait to show everyone what we’ve been working on.”
