Sony has announced that the new PlayStation Plus tiers and pricing will take effect earlier in select regions, ahead of its initial June 2022 rollout schedule.

As announced on the PlayStation Blog, markets in Asia will experience the effects of the upgraded service first, with a new updated regional rollout schedule targeting May 23, 2022. Japan will be next, targeting June 1, 2022. Americas and Europe will follow on a June 13 and June 22 schedule respectively.

Sony also announced that cloud streaming access will expand to more locations, thus now offering the Premium tier – Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Republic of Cyprus, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia. Markets without streaming capabilities will still fall under the Deluxe tier.

The new PlayStation Plus will see the service include benefits from PS Now, along with additional perks such as game streaming and access to a massive catalog of games from PS1, PS2, PS3, PSP, PS4, and PS5. As of writing, the list of games included in the service is still unknown.

PlayStation Plus Essential

• This is the current tier that all PS Plus members are getting and will include online multiplayer and free games every month, along with cloud storage and exclusive discounts. If you are subscribed to PS Plus, you’re already basically on PS Plus essential.
• This will cost USD $9.99 per month / $24.99 quarterly / $59.99 yearly

PlayStation Plus Extra

• The next tier will include access to a curated list of 400 PS4 and PS5 games spanning blockbuster hits to indie gems like Death Stranding, God of War, and others from PlayStation and other publishers.
• The titles available in this tier will be downloadable.
• This will cost USD $14.99 monthly / $39.99 quarterly / $99.99 yearly

PlayStation Plus Deluxe (markets without streaming) / Premium (markets with streaming)

• The highest tier will get access to a wider list of PS1, PS2, PS3, and PSP games depending on regions available for download and play.
• Premium will cost USD $17.99 monthly / $49.99 quarterly / $119.99 Yearly
• Deluxe will cost SGD 15.90 monthly / SGD 40.90 quarterly / SGD 103.90 yearly
