NieR: Automata The End of YoRHa Edition Switch Resolution and Performance Revealed
Announced during the Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase, players can relive the adventures of 2B on-the-go as NieR: Automata The End of YoRHa Edition will be coming to the Switch on October 6, 2022.
Many players have questions about how the game will run on the system since it is a native port and not a cloud-based version. Square Enix has cleared the air and has answered the question about it already.
In a Tweet by the official Japanese Twitter account, the company has clarified the performance of the upcoming port, saying that the game will run at 1080p (docked), 720p (undocked), while targeting 30fps.
This is not a surprise at all, considering that this is a native port and not a cloud version. While other platforms can play it at a smooth 60fps, the portability of the Switch may more than make up for the dip in performance.
This is a stark difference from the Kingdom Hearts collection released earlier this year, which was a cloud version instead of a native port.
