The rumor was right after all.

We will finally get to witness the next gen offering of Sony on June 4, 1PM Pacific, or for us over in this side of the world, that would be June 5, 4AM Philippine time.

What will be shown? According to the PlayStation Blog, expect to see “a first look at the games you’ll be playing after PlayStation 5 launches this holiday”, with the event spanning over an hour. Jim Ryan, President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, promises that “this is part of our series of PS5 updates and, rest assured, after next week’s showcase, we will still have much to share with you.”

We’ll definitely see some of the games, but will we see the console as well? Hopefully, they give us a taste, even just a bit, but whatever the case may be, the hype train is now officially chugging along.

Oh, and is that an all black controller we see or are we all really just hoping for one?
