Sony PlayStation 5 event now happening on June 11
[Update]
An official post on the PlayStation Blog (and corresponding social media announcements) have indeed confirmed the leaked Twitch ad. The PS5 event will indeed be happening on June 11 at 1PM Pacific (June 12 at 4AM local Philippine time).
The pre-taped presentation will stream at 1080p 30FPS to ease production during this work from home phase, Sony announced to manage expectations. Sony has also advised to tune into the stream using headphones, saying that “there’s some cool audio work in the show, and it might be harder to appreciate if it’s pumped through your phone or laptop speakers.”

The once delayed event is now confirmed (again) and will happen on June 11 at 1PM Pacific, which is 4AM Philippine time on June 12. While there are no official announcements from the Sony PlayStation channels just yet, the apparent date was revealed via a Twitch ad, which IGN has gotten a hold of.
Check the ad below:
The event was postponed from its original date of June 4 and was to be ““a first look at the games you’ll be playing after PlayStation 5 launches this holiday”, if the previous event was to be followed.
For now, we’ll assume that we can catch the event via the Sony PlayStation Youtube and Twitch channels, same as last time.
More details about the event to come as official announcements have been made.
